My journey to photojournalism started on the back of my dear friend, Anthony Oliver’s motor bike. Zoom through rainy north London to catch a cargo plane delivering aid to Goma, Zaire just after the Rwandan genocide broke out. With very little money on me but lots of free film from Kodak and a few days worth of tinned food. I sat on the floor like a stowaway wrapped in a blanket freezing amongst the cargo of this huge fly ship. Looking back now, I can’t remember ever worrying about what life had in store for me, if I would make it or how I would ever get home. I made my way to what would commonly be know among a few as, The Flip Side. I remained there for over two years. Met the love of my life who continues to be my partner in crime and we have two wonderful ladies to show for it. SO leaps of faith do get rewarded and we continue to take then.
These image are, naturally are only a small snap shot.
